The Columbus Commons Bicentennial Pavilion was a large-scale project that added a modern stage venue to the heart of downtown Columbus. Mid-City’s work as the electrical contractor, in partnership with general contractor Gutknecht Construction, included the addition of landscape structures in the center of the park, and electrical installs in the stage, back of stage, and below stage areas, as well as in the upper level of the pavilion garage. The electrical service installation was very complicated, and it required the precise placement of a complex array of conduit work, custom wireways, and circuitry inside the concrete and steel structures of the pavilion. Despite the complex nature of this project, Mid-City achieved a finished installation that did not interfere with the overall aesthetic of the stage, as the electrical was unnoticeable to pavilion patrons.

The Columbus Commons Bicentennial Pavilion was honored with a Builders Exchange of Central Ohio Craftsmanship Award for the electrical service in 2012.
